Post Spotlight: How a Drive By Changed My Life

Hi everybody!  I hope that you are having a good week thusfar.

Last week was a pretty rough week.   I didn't like how I was feeling at all.  I just wanted to feel differently, better, more like myself.  One day, I made the decision that I would.  This is the status that I wrote in that moment:
I'm choosing to smile today.  It's be a rough week on so many levels.  I've been angry.  I've been hurt. I've been frustrated.  I've been disgusted.  I let my emotions dictate my activities.  I didn't feel like me this week. But today, I made the choice to smile.  I choose to carry on in love, light, and positivity.  I choose to spend my time working on the things that I can do to make a difference to others.  I've got a lot of work to do.  I won't say that the things that happened were a derailment to my progress, but a wake up call not to play small and to stop procrastinating.  I'm finished arguing and trying to change minds, trying to make others understand and have empathy, pleading cases, etc.  I'm done reading vile comments, lopsided stories, crazy emails, and so on until the wee hours of the morning.  I'm done.  I'm just going to do what I need to do to make things better for as many people as I can.  Don't believe me?  Just watch.

Post of the Hour: How A Drive By Changed My Life

About: How a drive by brought up a tough realization.

Inspiration: There are times when something terrible makes you face hard truths.

Favorite quote:  The light turned green.  I proceeded slowly into the intersection and then everything went by in slow motion.  Before we crossed paths, the back passenger window rolled down and I could vividly see a hand holding a handgun come out.  Shots were fired down the street that I was crossing.  Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
